Description
Kidderton Ash is a beautifully handcrafted goats cheese from the heart of Cheshire, made by the award-winning cheesemakers at Butlers Farmhouse Cheeses. Each cheese is hand-rolled into a distinctive dome and coated in a delicate layer of edible ash, which develops into a striking silvery grey rind as it matures.
Beneath that soft exterior lies a pure white paste with a luxuriously creamy texture and a gentle, clean flavour that grows more complex with age.
Elegant and well balanced, Kidderton Ash offers subtle citrus notes and a mellow nuttiness.
How much to buy
Each cheese weighs approximately 150g.
All cheeses are hand cut, therefore the weights listed are approximate. We work very hard to cut them as accurately as we can and happy to offer advice on purchasing the right amount if you are unsure. If you would like a price for larger weights or whole cheeses, please call us.
Delivery
Your cheese is cut fresh to order, wrapped and packed by hand and delivered on the day you choose. We deliver across the UK from Tuesday to Friday each week. If you are ordering for a gift or special occasion we advise you to always allow an extra day in case of any unforeseen courier delays.
Recipe / pairing suggestion
Pairs wonderfully with crisp white wines, honey or seasonal fruit. The ash rind is entirely edible, so leave it on.
That silvery ash rind does more than look good. Leave it on and let it age a week.

How should I store my cheese once it arrives?
Cheese is best kept in the fridge wrapped in the waxed paper or packaging it arrives in. Avoid plastic wrap, as cheese needs to breathe.
How long will my cheese last?
Most cheeses will last 1-2 weeks if stored properly. Harder cheeses tend to last longer than soft cheeses.
Do you deliver nationwide?
Yes, we deliver throughout the UK mainland. Some remote areas may have longer delivery times.
When will my cheese order arrive?
Orders placed before 12pm are dispatched the same day for next-day delivery. We deliver Tuesday to Friday.
Is your cheese pasteurised?
We stock both pasteurised and unpasteurised cheeses. Each product page clearly states whether the cheese is pasteurised.
Do you offer subscriptions or cheese boxes?

Can I visit your shop and café?
