Quince paste is traditionally eaten with sweet Manchego as a Tapas in Spain. A delicious accompaniment to most hard cheeses, particularly ewe's milk varieties.
Sometimes referred to as "quince cheese", this accompaniment is enjoyed across a wide variety of countries, including Hungary, Chile, and Turkey. It has a thick, jelly-like consistency and is made using the pulp of the quince fruit. The quince is an aromatic pear-like fruit which is most commonly used for making marmalades, jams, and pastes. It can also be used to make alcohol - you can try a quince fruit beer at our Lincoln shop, made by the Cat Asylum Brewery.
The pack weighs approx. 200g.
