There are a great many Wensleydales out there, but this is one of our personal favourites, with all the characteristics you would expect from a classic Dales cheese.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBen and Sam Spence decided to reintroduce the cheese in July 2019, after production of this particular Wensleydale recipe had stopped back in 1957.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt is made from a herd of 100 Friesian cows who graze outdoors from spring through to autumn and are milked on the farm at Aysgarth, in Wensleydale, every day.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003eHow much to buy\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAll cheeses are hand cut, therefore the weights listed are approximate. Royal Mail are very reliable, and most parcels arrive within 24 hours, but occasional delays can happen.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIf you’re ordering cheese for a special occasion, party or event, we recommend having it delivered a couple of days beforehand. This gives you some extra time in case of an unexpected courier delay and allows the cheese to rest and reach its best before serving.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWe currently deliver throughout the UK but do not offer international delivery.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003eHow We Pack Your Cheese\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eEvery order is cut and packed by hand, fresh to order by our team of cheesemongers.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eYour cheese is wrapped in breathable waxed paper, which allows it to breathe while helping to protect it during transit and in your fridge. It is then placed inside a thermal foil pouch with a frozen gel pack to keep it cool on its journey. The gel pack will naturally defrost during transit; this is completely normal.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFinally, everything is carefully packed into a branded box to keep your order safe and presentable when it arrives.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWe’re also conscious of the environmental impact of packaging. Around 95% of our packaging is recyclable or reusable, and we’re continually looking for ways to reduce waste and make our business more sustainable.
