Crumbly, with a moist creamy texture but a strong flavour that comes from maturing the cheese for over two years. Intensely creamy and full flavoured, it leaves you wanting more.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFor centuries Lancashire dairy farmers' wives made cheese from surplus milk. On small farms there was never enough from a single day's milking, so each day's milk was curdled and accumulated over several days until there was enough curd to make a cheese. Two or three days' curd of varying maturity are then blended together, and that is what gives Lancashire cheeses their distinctive character.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eTasty Lancashire is made by the same traditional method as Creamy Lancashire but matured for far longer, anywhere from twelve weeks to twenty-four months, which gives it a mature, nutty taste.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003eHow much to buy\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eEach individual cheese weighs approximately 460g.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAll cheeses are hand cut, therefore the weights listed are approximate. It is then placed inside a thermal foil pouch with a frozen gel pack to keep it cool on its journey. The gel pack will naturally defrost during transit; this is completely normal.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFinally, everything is carefully packed into a branded box to keep your order safe and presentable when it arrives.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWe’re also conscious of the environmental impact of packaging.
