Through the summer the herd grazes the richly diverse island pastures, though the famously damp Scottish climate limits how long they can spend outdoors.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe dairy sits just outside Tobermory, close to a whisky distillery. Looking for an alternative winter feed, the Reades began using the leftover mashed whisky grains, which solved a disposal problem for the distillery at the same time.
