Vacherin Fribourgeois by Chabert is a semi-hard cheese originating from the Fribourg region of Switzerland. It’s known for its rich and creamy texture, distinct flavour profile, and melt-in-your-mouth qualities, especially when warmed.

The cheese has a pale yellow interior with a firm yet supple texture and a natural rind that is slightly rustic and earthy-looking. The aroma is nutty and buttery with subtle grassy undertones with mild hints of hay and Alpine pastures. The texture is creamy yet firm when cold, which becomes silky and gooey when heated, making it ideal for melting in fondues or over potatoes.

Vacherin can be enjoyed either spooned from the box and served at room temperature or baked gently in the oven (in the box) and served fondue style with crusty bread, crudités and warm new potatoes – enjoy it with a chilled glass of champagne.

The individual cheese weighs 350g.
