Poacher 50 was born out of the COVID-19 lockdowns when milk and cheese sales plummeted, so Simon and Tim decided to make a long-lasting cheese that would be ready when the lockdowns ended. Poacher 50 is crafted from milk that is heated to 50 degrees Celsius and sits somewhere between a traditional Poacher and a parmesan.
The flavour is strong, tangy and addictively savoury. The flavour builds across the palate and ends with a taste that can only be described as “cheesy”!
Pair with your favourite strong chutney or pickles, or try grated over fresh pasta to lean into the parmesan quality. This is a truly special cheese.
