Golden Cross is a soft, ash-coated, log-shaped goat’s cheese that is hand-made by Kevin and Alison Blunt on their farm at Whitesmith in East Sussex.
As the golden cross ages, its characteristic subtle flavour and mousse-like texture changes and it becomes more distinctive and complex and its matures. This cheese is lightly covered in charcoal ash, which is said to aid digestion and provides a nice contrast to the pure white centre of the cheese. The body of the cheese is dense, creamy, not too goaty and full of fresh, clean flavours.
Each log weighs approx. 225g.
