Lancashire Bomb
The famous LANCASHIRE BOMB is a taste explosion and must be tasted to be believed. This is a very popular Lancashire cheese due to the very creamy and full flavoured taste which leaves you wanting more. The cheese is very distinctive in appearance being a round cheese coated in black wax. Crumbly, with a moist creamy texture yet strong flavour resulting from the cheese being matured over two years. Definitely one of my favourite pregnancy friendly cheeses in the UK.
What makes Lancashire Cheese so special?
For centuries, Lancashire dairy farmers’ wives made cheese from surplus milk. On small farms, there was insufficient milk from a single day’s milking to make a block of cheese, and so each day’s milk was curdled and accumulated for several days until there was enough CURD to make a block of cheese. Two or three days’ curd of varying maturity are then blended together, giving LANCASHIRE CHEESES a distinctive character. Making a unique cheese that can sit proudly amongst all British cheeses.
Tasty Lancashire cheese is made by the same traditional method as Creamy Lancashire but is matured for longer, from 12 weeks to 24 months. It has a mature nutty taste. The LANCASHIRE BOMB or Lancashire Black Bomb is a sphere of tasty Lancashire cheese coated in black wax.

Old Amsterdam
OLD AMSTERDAM is an aged Gouda cheese made from pasteurised cow’s milk. GOUDA cheese is named after the town of Gouda, situated between Rotterdam and Utrecht located in the South Holland province of the Netherlands. OLD AMSTERDAM is a smooth, firm waxy textured, slightly granular Gouda with a deep colour that is matured for around 18 months. The resulting cheese has a deep, lingering mellow flavour with hints of caramel and marmite on the palate.
This is a fabulous cheese for any cheeseboard but equally good when cooked and goes extremely well with pistachio and figs. It has won European Gold Medals.

Pecorino Romano PDO
Pecorino is a term used to define ITALIAN cheeses made from 100% ewes’ milk. Out of the four Pecorino pregnancy friendly cheeses that have received Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) status, PECORINO ROMANO PDO is one of the most ancient types of cheese as well as the most famous outside of Italy. Pecorino Romano can only be made on the islands of Sardinia, Lazio and in the Tuscan Province of Grosseto. All these varieties differ slightly from each other, depending on how much they have aged.
PECORINO ROMANO PDO dates back to Roman times (as the name suggests) when it was a part of the staple diet of soldiers at war. Today, the cheese is made using pasteurised milk and traditional methods in the unique areas of origin. It is aged from 8 to 12 months resulting in a dry and granular texture and a strong taste.
Pecorino Romano PDO is generally used as a sharper alternative to PARMESAN. It is ideal for pasta and perfect with CURED MEATS and OLIVES. We suggest pairing this cheese with oiling, oaky white wines or bold Italian reds

Smoked Snowdonia
SMOKED SNOWDONIA is a mature cheddar style cheese that is naturally smoked over beechwood chippings, which allows a smokey flavour to run throughout the cheese. Slightly soft in texture, with a good full flavour that is not overbearing and retains the character of the cheese.
The Snowdonia Cheese Company was founded in 2001, on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park, where they continue to make their cheeses today. The company started selling their cheeses at farmers’ markets but found success almost immediately and their pregnancy friendly cheeses are now available in over 2000 locations around the UK. The high animal welfare standards at the Snowdonia Cheese Company have led to high-quality, tasty cheeses that have won medals at the International and World Cheese Awards.

Swaledale Traditional
SWALEDALE TRADITIONAL is made from locally sourced milk which displays the “Terroir” of the rich Swaledale meadows and pastures of Yorkshire. It is pasteurised prior to the cheese-making process and is extra matured, cloth bound and naturally rinded. SWALEDALE TRADITIONAL is based on an ancient recipe developed hundreds of years ago and has similar characteristics to a farmhouse Wensleydale, a brilliant alternative, but with softer and creamier notes and a more delicate less astringent flavour.
During the 20th century, the art of cheese making declined in Swaledale and by 1980, there was only one farm producing cheese. When the Longstaff farm stopped producing cheese, Mrs Marjorie Longstaff passed on the original Swaledale cheese process to the founders of Swaledale Cheese Company. The process has remained unchanged since the production of cheese began in 1987 and is still used in our creamery today. Finally, one of the pregnancy-friendly cheeses was favoured in Queen Victoria’s day.

Goat’s Gouda with Fenugreek
Goat Gouda with Fenugreek is a fresh, light and creamy Dutch goats cheese with the addition of fenugreek seeds that give it a nutty and savoury flavour. The aromatic fenugreek adds celery notes to the soft taste of the goat’s cheese and creates texture and bite.
The fenugreek seed is known for its medicinal and rejuvenating powers and is said to aid digestion. Goat Gouda with Fenugreek is an organic Gouda cheese made in WOERDEN in the centre of the Netherlands. An award-winning cheese prepared with care and a social conscience.

Vintage Red Fox
VINTAGE RED FOX is hand-made at Belton Farm in Shropshire by the Beckett family using a unique recipe that has been developed over many years.
VINTAGE RED FOX is a Red Leicester style cheese with a distinct crunch. It has a smooth, sweet, mellow flavour and a flaky, open texture. Like other red cheeses, Red Fox gets its colour from the flavourless dye from the South American plant Annatto.
Red Leicester-style pregnancy friendly cheeses go especially well in cheesy bread, Mac & Cheese or sprinkled over a potato gratin.

Open Air Cheddar
A strong, crumbly cheddar with a salty crunch and a beautiful tang. This cheddar is perfect for eating on its own, and for cooking with. Try this cheddar grated over baked vine tomatoes on crusty, buttery bread or it is ideal for a classic cheddar sandwich.
Open Air Cheddar is produced by The Open Air Dairy in the beautiful Dorset countryside where the cows are milked in the fields using a portable milking parlour. The dairy was born out of the friendship between Tom and Neil who met at the University of Plymouth, and had a vision for how dairy farming could be done differently.
The farm is now home to 800 free-range cows who graze and roam outside all year.
