DPD COURIERS – Orders are delivered NEXT DAY by DPD. Your cheese is cut fresh to order, wrapped and packed by hand and delivered on the day you choose. We deliver across the UK from Tuesday to Friday each week. Provide a mobile number when you place your order, DPD will send you your delivery time. They are advised to leave the parcel safe or with a neighbour if you are not in to receive it. If neither is an option, they will re-attempt the delivery the following day. DPD will attempt to deliver your parcel twice, if you are not in on both occasions and it can’t be left safe then it will go back to the depot and cannot be reattempted due to the perishable nature of the products.
DELIVERY COSTS – Delivery is free for a single order to one address over the value of £60 (after any vouchers or discount codes). Certain areas might still incur a delivery cost, this will be calculated once the postcode is input at the checkout.
CHOOSING THE RIGHT DATE – If you are ordering for a gift or special occasion we advise you to always allow an extra day in case of any unforeseen courier delays.
BEST-BEFORE DATES – Our cheeses are cut fresh to order. Once cut we put a 12-14 day best-before date on each cut. Certain cheeses will last longer than this advised date depending on your refrigeration temperatures. We always advise eating your cheese as fresh as possible. Each item will have an individual best-before date on the label when it arrives, waxed and sealed cheeses will keep much longer than hand cuts. Cheese is a fresh, perishable item and should be eaten and enjoyed as close to delivery as possible.
SUBSTITUTIONS – We work very hard to ensure that we do not have to include substitutions in our orders. However, this is not always possible, and is sometimes out of our control. In most cases, we will contact you regarding any substitutions to your order, though this may not be possible on high-volume days. We will always substitute as closely as possible to the original product. If you do not wish to receive substitutions, please add a note to your order at checkout.
DIFFICULT ADDRESS – We suggest sending your cheese to a work address if you feel delivery is difficult or the consignment can’t be left safe (ideal for flats or larger city deliveries). Please provide as much information as possible if you live remotely or are tucked away.
CARBON NEUTRAL – We are very mindful of the effects that over-packaging has on our planet and we’ve worked hard to ensure our boxes and their contents are as earth-friendly as possible. Therefore we have made a conscious effort to make 95% of our packaging as recyclable, compostable or degradable as we can and source our packaging from recycled materials. DPD now operate a carbon-neutral delivery service, running as many electric vehicles as possible and offsetting any remaining emissions by financing cleaner energy projects.
