Eve

£11.99

This is a soft goat’s cheese washed in cider brandy and wrapped in a vine leaf. A delicious deep, rich flavour unlike any other. Eve has a supple, mousey texture when young, which develops into a velvety soft cream as it matures. As with a lot of goat cheeses, the goaty flavour intensifies as it ages.

Eve is a unique little goat’s cheese handmade by Peter Humphreys at White Lake Dairy, on Bagborough Farm in Shepton Mallet in Somerset. We always enjoy sweeter flavours with goat cheeses here at The Cheese Society so we suggest pairing this cheese with oatcakes and sweet apricot jam. Or slicing the cheese across the middle, baking it in the oven and enjoying it with honey roast root vegetables.

Eve won a Gold Award at the British Cheese Awards 2019, and 2 Star at the Great Taste Awards 2020.

White Lake Cheese specialise in sheep, goat, and Guernsey cow milk cheeses. They are passionate about the evolution of their cheeses and always open to novel methods and recipes, which has led to the creation of some truly wonderful cheeses over the years!

Each individual cheese weighs approx. 140g.
