Creating a seasonal cheese platter doesn’t need to be complicated, tricky, or overwhelming.
We get bombarded with all these images of abundant grazing boards and tables and feel it’s not achievable at home, but it absolutely is.
Here is The Cheese Society Manager, Lucie’s, step-by-step guide to creating a seasonal summer cheese platter.

Step 1: The Base
Find a suitable platter, tray, board, plank, or plate and line it with greaseproof paper.
Step 2: The Cheese
Choose your favourite cheeses or ask your local cheesemonger (aka The Cheese Society) for the best seasonal selection.
Keep it varied with softs, blues, hards, and crumblies.
Step 3: Crackers and Bread
Add the crackers, breads, loaves (the beige elements). These are essential. I personally enjoy sourdough and ginger nut biscuits, but anything works.
Step 4: Seasonal Accompaniments
Add colour and seasonal accompaniments. I’ve chosen fruit for this platter as I feel it adds a fresh element.
Olives, pickles, chutney, and fresh vegetables are also ideal.
Step 5: Decoration
Add some greenery – I cut some rosemary and summer flowers from the garden.
Herbs add a sensory element to the board and work well to finish the platter off and make it look pretty.
Step 6. SERVE, EAT AND ENJOY.
